Shop Week

Hi all,
I've been working like the good little shop mouse i am. Chatting with Richard at East Rosebud Fly and Tackle about rod racks i decided i should build one. My sketches all looked like gun racks, then i had this idea... Needless to say i'm still stymied on how i want to proceed with this project. I wanted one done for sale by Christmas but the ideas aren't coming as fast as i want.

My barrel trays are going well. They are fun to make and look beautiful when they are finished off.

For those of you that follow the projects on this blog these will look familiar. I built a coat rack that looked very similar about a year ago. I liked it so much that i am now building tow small tables that use the same leg layout.

Im planing on using old barrel tops for these.

I was puttering around the local ski swap and found these sweet old woodies. I love skis on the wall however it always frustrates me when people drill holes in them. As a skier you spend the majority of a skis life trying not to put holes in skis. To that effect i decided to put together a little display.

Glue takes all night to cure when its neg whatever outside...

The morning brought some sweet rack action!

A little stain and up on the wall they went, I'll be putting them up for sale soon.

Up next a dog couch project i have been toying with for a while.

Ill fill in more in the next post.
