Sol Duc

I awoke Saturday trying to find the cat that shat in my mouth so i could kill it. Its a sneaky cat so after a brief search i gave up and started getting ready for some boating. With the car loaded up Lea, Chris and i headed off to Olympic raft and kayak to meet up with the owner Morgan.

Having never been on the Peninsula rivers i didn't really know what to expect so after loading up Morgans boat it was off to meet Ben and get this show on the road.

You can check out the description of the Sol Duc section we ran here at American Whitewater.

After about five minutes on the water it became clear to one boater that with a drift boat along its munch more fun to hop on and lounge than to paddle. So Florence became a floating party as the five of us wound our way through boulder garden after boulder garden.

If you look closely you will notice that my mustache sense is tingling.

And the party continued...

I think Lea had the best ride of the day, sitting in a Crazy Creek chair on the stern hatch behind me and the unused kayak.

In the end i learned some things, one five people and a kayak makes for one overloaded boat. Two an overloaded boat handles about like you would expect. Three sharing a great day on the water with friends beer and liquid sunshine really makes one and two seem unimportant.

Can't wait to do it again
